Planets and Memories

After a very long week I have finally made it to the weekend. Thankful to the Lord for the work, the people, my family that I miss. Most of all for his grace to me. I need it. Tonight I babysat for a beautiful family from my church. Watching Kung Fu Panda 2, laughing at the silly things, a dog in one half of my lap and a little girl in the other. Reading some of The Little Prince and letting the kids color in their own planets. Oh, and "attempting" to make popcorn in a pot. That was good.

The picture above is Lucy. She is a precious little girl and her quiet and adventurous nature reminds me a lot of myself when I was younger. I was supposed to take a photo of a favorite memory for a photo-a-day project I'm (sort of) doing. And a whole lot of my favorite memories involve snow. So this is a photo of me as a child. In the snow and loving it.

It Snowed Yesterday

I don't like to post on here without at least one photo. But I don't really have time to find a photo. I don't really have time to sit and write this. I have a lot of work that I have to do right now. But I was reminded by a good friend of mine last night that I can be thankful for all this work that I get to do. And that I can do it for God's glory. I've also been reminded lately that I can't do His work on my own. Good reminders in the midst of slightly overwhelming circumstances. Thank you, Lord, for your faithfulness. Thank you for loving me.

Oh, and it snowed yesterday. Was literally jumping up and down.

An Update

This semester...has flown by faster than I ever could have imagined. I simply cannot comprehend it.And it's been insanely busy. But it has been so good.

This semester I have:
Averaged 1-3 all-nighters per week
Limited my coffee intake due to excessive consumption
Had serious computer problems
Been really bad about returning emails, calls, and text messages

But I've also:
Made some crazy cool new freshman friends
Had wonderfully genuine conversations
Had the best birthday trip home
Learned how to develop my own photos
Gone to Steak N' Shake happy hour (in the A.M.)
Road tripped to Saint Louis
Painted my skin green
And so much more...but it's late. And I can't think of more.

But to sum it up, I've been incredibly blessed. And I don't know what else to do but praise the good Lord for it all.
