Film Friday

Since I never posted film friday last week, this week you get twice the usual amount of photos! So here are eight film shots, all from the lovely Minolta XE-7.

1. The old back room
2. Changing of seasons
3. The new basement
4. The new dust
5. Farmer's market
6. Walking shoes
7. The old cloth
8. Dorm room furnishings

I also just wanted to speak of God's faithfulness. How great it is. In times of chaos and distractions and things pulling me in every direction, he is the anchor. He is the firm foundation. He will not withhold any good thing from his children. And to call myself a child of God! What a mysterious and wonderful thing. What a glorious life he has given me! Too often I forget.

October first

Give me a beautiful, cold fall day and my smile will only fade with the moon.
Give me a friend to pick cotton with and I will not ask to stop.
Five dollars is all it costs for apron displays and corn mills, quilting women and widdling men.
An extra four for a picnic on a bridge in the shade.

The PSL Season

I took this photo last year for a contest that Starbucks put on. I think they chose their top 3 or 4 photos to win a gift card or something. And I was one of the top! I never did get that gift card from them though...oh well.

It is Pumpkin Spice Latte season again and I am more than thrilled. Honestly, it's a difficult toss-up between fall and winter for my favorite seasons. Nevertheless, fall is starting to show itself and I love it. I had my first PSL of the season yesterday. Iced. It's still pretty warm out. And it was delicious.

Be encouraged by these verses in Psalm 16 today.
"I have set the Lord always before me. Because he is at my right hand I will not be shaken. Therefore my heart is glad and my tongue rejoices; my body also will rest secure, because you will not abandon me to the grave, nor will you let your Holy One see decay. You have made known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand."
